Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Rent Folio helps you create a structured renter profile from information you choose to provide. We do not obtain credit reports or background checks from third-party databases through this product.

The Service is operated by Ecom Champ, with a mailing address at 2900 Illinois Ave Apt 903, Killeen, TX 76543.

2. Information we process

We process account data (such as email and password hash) and profile data you submit in the app (for example contact details, rental history, optional references, and optional file uploads). This data is user-provided; we do not independently verify it against external sources as part of the Service.

3. How we use information

We use your information to operate the Service, generate in-app summaries and plain-language guidance based on your inputs, provide support, secure our systems, and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for money or other valuable consideration, including for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not resell personal data to landlords, credit bureaus, or data brokers for their marketing purposes.

3a. Payments (card and billing data)

One-time plan payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor that meets industry security standards (including PCI-DSS requirements for card data). We do not store your full payment card number on our servers. When you pay, card details are collected and tokenized by the processor. We may receive limited billing metadata (for example last four digits of the card, brand, and payment status) needed to manage your account and comply with law.

4. No affiliation with credit bureaus or landlords

We are not affiliated with credit bureaus, consumer reporting agencies, landlords, or government screening systems. The Service is informational and based on what you enter.

5. Storage and security

We protect personal information using appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to meet applicable data-protection requirements. Data is transmitted between your browser and our services using industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS). Account passwords are stored using one-way hashing—we do not store passwords in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to protect your login credentials.

6. Optional documents

If you upload optional documents, they are stored to support your profile presentation as described in the product. Only upload files you are permitted to share with the Service.

7. Sharing

We may use service providers (for example hosting) who process data on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not claim to run “official” reports for third parties.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale to opt out of in the usual “Do Not Sell” sense. Deleting your account may remove associated profile data subject to legal retention needs (for example tax, fraud-prevention, or accounting obligations).

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. International users

If you access the Service from outside the country where we operate servers, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be indicated on this page with an updated date.
